The classic recipe that gets the job done. Black beans and rice have been keeping Brazilians pumped since the stone age. If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for you.
Ingredients
- 1 big 822g can of Goya black beans
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of Garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 bunch of cilantro, chopped
- lots of crushed red pepper (more spice is more awesome)
Prep time: 30 minutes
Serves: 2 bros
Instructions
- Sautee the onion with a bit of vegetable oil until slighly translucent.
- Add the garlic.
- Add the cumin, coriander, salt, and crushed red pepper.
- Dump in the beans (don’t bother draining them, nobody has time for that), simmer for 20 minutes.
- Dump in the cilantro, simmer another 5 minutes.
- Eat.
