Vegan Bean Gruel

The Gladiators ate beans and barley. Then the Italians decided oats are for horses. This was the inspiration for the precursor to vegan man gruel. With time and innovation the roots were rediscovered, and now you too can Gladiator flex on diabetic Italians that eat dessert for breakfast.

Ingredients

Prep time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1 bro

Instructions

  1. Put the oats in a bowl
  2. Add water and spices to bowl
  3. Microwave for 2 minutes
  4. Dump can of beans along with bean juice into bowl, stir and let sit
  5. Cut lime and squeeze into bowl, skip to 11 if not using tomatillos
  6. If using tomatillos, remove husk, wash in warm water with a dab of soap
  7. Dice tomatillos while microwaving oats
  8. Heat pan to medium-high heat on stove with oil
  9. Add tomatillos and salt, stir fry until tomatillos shift from bright green to olive green and melt into oil
  10. Pour tomatillo fry into bowl, stir, let flavors distribute a bit
  11. Eat.
  12. Flex.
